The Canada Foundation for Innovation
(CFI) is an independent corporation created by the Government of Canada
to fund research infrastructure. The CFI's mandate is to strengthen the
capacity of Canadian universities, colleges, research hospitals, and non-profit
research institutions to carry out world-class research and technology
development that benefits Canadians. |

In November of 2000, the UHN Established with financial support from the
Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI), the Clinical Genomics Centre as part
of the Genes, Proteins and People program. This centre has been established
around three core competencies, microarrays, structural proteomics and gene
profiling (SNP analysis). These three groups continue to operate as a cohesive
core offering a broad spectrum of solutions to researchers in Toronto, Canada
and around the World - please take some time to visit our partners' websites. |

The Microarray Centre at the University
Health Network is a leader in Canadian microarray technology. We are dedicated
to providing high quality microarrays, technical support and service to
Canadian researchers. Access to high quality microarrays will allow our
Canadian researchers to be on the cutting edge of genetic research. |

The Structural Proteomics
Group (aka Ontario Centre for Structural Proteomics) uses x-ray
crystyllography and NMR spectroscopy to do structual proteomics. Couple with
this effort is a program in functional genomics focussing on characterizing
enzymatic activities for proteins purified for structural proteomics. |
